The Dante Domain Manager, or DDM for short, is a management software that runs on a server or computer in the Dante AoIP network, similar to a domain controller in a business network. The DDM allows the Dante network to be divided into different logical segments. For example, the devices of different rooms can be distributed into different domains. By setting up a user structure and appropriate security policies, different users with the appropriate rights can then perform only "permitted" actions on the network and thus, for example, cannot change the audio network in the wrong room while an event is in progress. Devices and Dantecontrollers are logged on to the DDM and thus get the desired access. Without logging in, no changes can be made to the network. In addition to user management, fault diagnosis and monitoring is also an important part of the system with automatic notifications via SNMP, an individually configurable dashboard, and much more.
